In a faraway land known as Flibberty-Goo,
From something old came something new.
A new day had just begun,
And a rooster MOOED at the rising sun.
“This is strange,” said Farmer Blue.
“I thought I heard the rooster Moo.”
He opened the window and looked out back,
And heard the horses start to QUACK.
He rubbed his eyes.
He cupped his ear.
“A quacking horse?”
“A meowing steer?”
Farmer Blue threw on his coat and opened the door.
And to his surprise, heard a chicken ROAR.
The sheep went OINK, and that’s not all.
Goats on a hilltop were going HEE-HAW.
He went to the sty and put down his pail.
The pigs were all COOING next to the rail.
His dog, Red, greeted him with a loud Cluck Cluck,
And with his tail wagging jumped into the truck.
Farmer Blue drove down to the lake,
And stepped right over a BARKING snake.
Along the bank, the frogs didn’t CROAK.
But HOOTED while hopping onto an oak.
“A barking snake?
A hooting frog?
An oinking sheep,
and a clucking dog?”
“What’s happening? It’s all so strange.
Why are all these mouths now rearranged?”
